No, the PM led a small diamond from the dummy. East would not flash in with diamondQ unless he also held diamondA and in that case a spade could be safely ducked to West. However, if West won diamondQ he could not profitably attack spades.

To the PM's mild surprise diamondJ held, so he continued with another and West played low. The only dangerous situation now was when West had ducked with diamondA, so diamondK was played from dummy with East winning diamondA. Declarer ducked a round of spades before winning spadeK and playing his last diamond. As a smiling West put diamondQ on the table, the PM shrieked a cry of anguish - NO, NO, NO! .........
