As mere mortals of the bridge world, we all love it when the great stars of our game come a cropper. And today's deal proved to be a banana skin for both North-South pairs. In the Open room (kibitzers allowed), World Champions Wolff and Hamman from the USA were having a little difficulty. Wolff opened 1heart and Branco for the Naturalists made a weak jump overcall of 2spade. Hamman's negative double was flexible showing one or both minors and Wolff's 3diamond was preference. 3spade was a cue-bid agreeing diamonds and 4club showed a control.

What would you recommend for Hamman's next bid?
