Thursday night is Bridge Class (spoken in the same voice as "Jazz Club" of Fast Show fame). You may remember, if you are sad and old like me, the expression "Anything can happen in the next half-hour" from the Stingray series in the sixties. Well at beginner's classes anything can and usually does happen in the next half second - let alone half hour.
