OK, you're off the hook because whichever minor partner returns the contract must go one off. Partner's wonderful heart holding means that declarer can never make more than eight tricks, so it's one off and +200.

Of course this does not excuse you from failing to lead a heart. On a heart2 lead and a club switch declarer has to be very careful - if he plays the queen it could mean minus 800!

So maybe you macho lunatics who cracked 2NT were right ... hope you found that heart lead though!
