The play was a formality. East cashed diamondA and after a while, continued with the king. Declarer made a mental note that spadeK was likely to be right on this rather friendly defence, but it was all academic. heartAK were cashed, a club played to the ace followed by two more rounds of hearts. With the friendly break in both suits there was no need for an heroic spade finesse and declarer chalked up +650 for a welcome transfusion of 11IMPs.

This Moysian fit was the last of several Moysian fits last night. Some were more Moysian than others - but we'll save those for another day.
