~ Spades and a minor

This is all about cooperative signalling. In these situations West should drop diamondJ to signify possession of the ten, in much the same way as you would drop the queen from a holding of QJx(x) on partner's opening lead of the ace or king from AK. Declarer won in dummy and started to cash clubs in the hope of ditching some losers. Popplestone ruffed the second club, led diamond5 to West's nine and the ensuing spade through gave East another four tricks. 2heart minus two and East-West +200.

What I want to know is what was one of the marauding Jocks doing down here playing for England under 25s?! We can't have that!
