As I mentioned yesterday, on Wednesday night we clinched the league with two matches still to go, but it was not because of any heroics at our table. Our other three pairs had all done well, and we were greeted at the end with a torrent of sarcastic comments. E.g.

Oh, a new kind of forcing Pass . why did you go off?
Because the trumps were 7-0.
