The bidding always seems to end miraculously in contracts that are designed to illustrate the author's point. So what, you might say - that's the same as now. The difference is that the contracts can often be seen to be anti-percentage, with required finesses always on-side, crucial suits always breaking 3-3, and others like Ax opposite KQ9x bringing in four winners.
