Well, I got lazy - very lazy. Instead of overtaking and giving my partner the obvious diamond ruff for one off, I played low. Declarer simply ruffed the next heart, drew trumps and claimed.

Partner was very controlled as he justifiably gave me the benefit of his advice.

Note 13/01/2026 Could partner have been more helpful if he had led heart10? Well, that's my belated excuse. It would have ben so much easier if I had simply led heartA. The king from partner would have left no doubt in anyone's mind what came next.
