# Serious balls!!!

What did you play at trick one? Not the clubQ I trust! At the table, this lost to the king and a diamond came back. Declarer cashed the heartAK, to which both defenders followed. After this welconme piece of news, it just got better. spadeK was led from dummy and West astonishingly won the trick! Declarer now had the necessary entry to use diamondA to discard the losing club from dummy. Nine tricks and +960! Note that if declarer plays either low or clubA at trick one he can always get home.
