Schaltz won the heartK and switched to the clubJ. After securing three club tricks, East switched to the diamond8, won with the ace by Dahl who then proceeded to lead the last club! Unwilling to ruff in dummy, declarer ruffed in hand - but not before East had ditched her last diamond. After cashing dummy's high trumps there was still no direct way back to declarer's hand and east ruffed diamondK to beat the contract.
