Another, double-dummy way to play the hand is to win the lead, draw trumps and ruff a diamond in hand. A club is ducked to East, who is end-played. He has to lead away from the heartA or lead the diamond10 which allows declarer to establish the last diamond for a twelfth trick. Of course, double-dummy, West would fly in with the clubQ to prevent his partner being end-played - a classic crocodile coup!
