At our table, I had a very lucky mental aberration. My partner, the Keeper of the Privy Purse (KPP), was in good form and opened 2NT to show both minors. RHO was an ex-partner, but also a friend, and she jumped to 4spade with her big major two suiter. For some strange reason I thought it a good time to bid 5heart to indicate a lead for myself, and this led us eventually to get away with murder in 6diamond doubled minus one. This board was one of the few good ones. You'll hear about some of the not-so-good at the weekend.
