The opening lead on this hand makes a huge difference. First principles should guide you to the correct decision - at least suit-wise. When the opposition have 'scrambled' to a landing spot where you suspect they might be a misfit, their primary source of tricks will often be a cross-ruff. On this basis you should lead a trump.

So if, like Rodrigue, you selected the heartQ, go to the top of the class. If you preferred heart8, you deserve a commendation, but if you chose a diamond go and stand in the corner immediately. A club will lead to one down and a spade, probably, to four down. Take a look at the whole hand.
