If East ducks, you have one spade trick in the bag and can now lead another low spade to your queen to force out the ace.

If East takes the spadeJ at trick two, you can win the next lead in hand and, because of the strength of dummy's spades, overtake the spadeQ with the king to force out the ace. Eventually you will enter dummy with heartK to cash the two winning spades. Nine tricks will again be the happy result .. well, happy unless you're East or West.
