Pass Pass Pass
What is East to do? If he flies in with the ace, South must make a heart trick, so he plays low and West wins the trick cheaply. Now the spotlight falls on West. To lead a trump sacrifices his spadeK, and if he does not South has the time to ruff a heart in the dummy. Either way South must make eight trump tricks and two aces. You'd have found it at the table - no problem eh?

The Belladonna coup is yet another example of our old friend the avoidance play.
