North-South have reached what would appear to be a normal contact of 4spade via a Stayman sequence. After partner has found a good club lead, you get off to a faultless start by winning with Jack. Now what?

From the bidding you can tell that declarer has two 4-card majors. In addition, we know from partner's lead that he holds three small clubs#, so we know that declarer also has three clubs. So, declarer's shape must be 4-4-2-3. From the bidding, we know he has all the remaining points. If we defend passively, allowing him to draw trumps and lead a club, we are heading to be end-played into leading away from the diamondK or the heartQ. So there's not much hope for the defence to this contract, is there? Quite right, but declarer does not know it!
